Stirred Not Shaken: Sermons for an Emerging Generation by Mark Feldmeir Now Available as Kindle eBook
Feldmeir's Stirred Not Shaken is collection of nineteen sermons organized around four themes that concern today's generation of churchgoers—ambiguity, suffering, transformation, and reconciliation. Available in Amazon Kindle ebook format.
ENCINITAS, CA, July 20, 2011 /Religion PR News/ -- Stirred Not Shaken: Sermons for an Emerging Generation, is being re-released today as an Amazon Kindle ebook. Stirred Not Shaken is Mark Feldmeir's second book, originally published by Chalice Press in 2005 as Stirred Not Shaken: Themes for an Emerging Generation.
"We preachers are constantly on the lookout for ways to relate modern life to biblical teachings", explained Feldmeir. "I continue to receive feedback from clergy and laity alike about the relevance of these sermons and realized I needed to keep them available".
Stirred Not Shaken is a collection of 19 sermons organized around the themes of ambiguity, suffering, transformation, and reconciliation. What helps make the text so approachable are the frequent references to modern life—music, film, art and literature—in fact many sermons include suggested video clips from recent major motion pictures. In this collection of sermons, readers receive new insights into Christian living through ancient biblical teachings and familiar, pop culture references.
Stirred Not Shaken is available now in the Kindle ebook format and soon in other ebook formats. Readers do not need to own a Kindle—Amazon also provides free software that enables readers to enjoy ebooks using other devices such as mobile phones, personal computers, Apple iPad and Android tablets.
