Rev. Dr. Patrick Chinenye Okafor Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Rev. Dr. Patrick Chinenye Okafor has served as an Assistant Cathedral Administrator and Assistant Bishop's Secretary in Awka Diocese, Nigeria.

    PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY, August 30, 2010 /Religion PR News/ -- Rev. Dr. Patrick Chinenye Okafor, Adjunct Professor of Theology and Religious Studies for St. John's University and a Roman Catholic priest ministering at St. Gerard Majella Church, has been recognized by Cambridge Who 's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in religious services.

As an adjunct professor of theology and religious studies, as well as a priest, Rev. Dr. Okafor teaches, conducts workshops, and presides over Mass and counsels. He also works as an on-call chaplain at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Prior to attaining his current positions, he served as a priest for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Awka, Nigeria.

Rev. Dr. Okafor received a Doctorate in Educational Administration, Professional Diploma in Educational Administration, Master of Arts and Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Theology. The founder of the Leave No Child Behind Charity Foundation, he works tirelessly in collaboration with the Board of Directors to inspire, encourage and support Nigerian students in their pursuit of meaningful education through academic consultation/advising and grant of scholarship. He was inspired by his pastor to pursue his line of work, and he attributes his success to God and his never-give-up attitude and determination to succeed. In the future, he would like to write and publish books, and extend the message of the moral responsibility of supporting less privileged children in education to other parts of the world.
