Mary Niemeyer Smith's God-given singing ability gives her the confidence to record Christian faith music
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, November 11, 2009 /Religion PR News/ -- Mary Niemeyer Smith, Christian Faith Music Composer, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in worship music composition and lyrics.
Mary Niemeyer Smith has six years of experience as a Christian faith music composer. She is responsible for composing Christian worship music, compiling songs for a CD of all her music, and working in the Cedar Rapid Schools District as a fine arts secretary. She became involved in her profession after agonizing over the start of the Iraq War in 2003. God comforted her in a real way through Psalm 3:1-4. She was led by the Spirit to bring her Bible downstairs and placed the Bible as music on the piano. For the next hour her hands were not hers. She began composing music and lyrics. She had no composition experience and yet writes in several keys and timing sequences. She attributes her success to divine intervention since her musical ability was a gift from God.
Mrs. Smith completed coursework in vocals and piano at the Moody Bible Institute in 1970, having received her diploma from Crown Point High School. She has written music for HillTop Records on four occasions. She has a song on each of these demos: "In the Beginning", "Glory", "Sing Hosanna" and "Country at Heart". She is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and Christian Copyright Licensing International Inc. for lyrics only.
Mary is contemplating doing a website soon.
