Brand New Gospel Artist, Conrad Miller, Interprets Traditional Genre With CD Release, My Journey

Former R&B Artist Finds His New Muse In The Genre Of Gospel

FORT WASHINGTON, MD, April 19, 2009 /Religion PR News/ -- Lovers of traditional gospel music will be raving with one listen to gospel recording artist Conrad Miller. My Journey, the artist's debut from Millcon Music Ministries, is an expression of faith throughout a moving display of 11 original songs. Produced by GRAMMY, Dove and Stellar Award winning producer, Steven Ford, known for his work with artists like Richard Smallwood, Vickie Winans, The Winans, and Donnie McClurkin, My Journey is a memorable presentation of the "New Traditional" gospel style. Miller's CD releases on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, and is being marketed, promoted and distributed by Edmondson Communications, Inc.

My Journey contains songs written by Conrad. Providing a platform for sharing his faith in God, the CD also touches on the human aspect. The lead single, "Momma Prayed For Me", recounts the prayer of a mother for her son. Showcasing an almost quartet-sounding style, the song's catchy hook and rhythmic beat make it the perfect tune for Mother's Day - and everyday. "Amazing", another jewel on My Journey, not only speaks of the incredible nature of God, but it's a personal testimony of what He has done for Conrad Miller. "Breathe On Me", "From Here Through Eternity" and "Movin' On Up" are other cuts worthy of the repeat button. "Jesus Is The Way", another song on the album, was co-written by Miller and his late daughter, Lauren, who died the day after her 16th birthday.

Although this CD is his first foray into gospel music, Conrad Miller is no stranger to the music industry. He was a member of MGM recording artist The Soulful Seven, an urban male group and one of his songs, "Carla, My Love", was a hit for the 70s group, The Softones. As a soloist, he's performed at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. He holds an undergraduate degree in Voice & Trumpet from Fort Hays University and a graduate degree in Voice & Opera Performance from the University of Michigan. Currently, he's Vice Chairman of the Deacon Board of Second Baptist Church in Doylestown, PA and a member of the Back Bench Boys (of Second Baptist), who back Conrad up on several tracks on My Journey.

My Journey is a collection of scriptural-based songs and refreshing tunes and is certain to expose the psalmist to a new group of fans. To listen to Miller's tracks, go to www.MySpace.com/ConradMillerMusic. For more information about Conrad Miller, go to www.ConradMillerMusic.com.
