The 2009 Christian Music Awards takes place at the William Saroyan Theatre, Fresno,CA, Saturday August 22nd. It's fun, glamorus, and exciting as the "Best of the Blessed" from around the nation join together for a tribute to our World Class God!
FRESNO, CA, November 08, 2008 /Religion PR News/ -- The 2009 Christian Music Awards will take place at the William Saroyan Theatre Fresno, California, on Saturday, August 22nd 2009. This is the Christian Version of "American Idol" meets the "Grammy's." It's fun, glamorous, and exciting as the "Best of the Blessed" from around the nation join together for a tribute to our World Class God!
This nationally televised event combines already established and well-respected Christian Artists with "Best of the Blessed" stars of the future. Christian Celebrity Artists serve as performers, mentors and celebrity judges, while the "Best of the Blessed" share their praise as they worship in spirit and truth.
Awards will be presented throughout the evening honoring Male Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, "Best of the Blessed" Artist of the Year, Most Inspirational Artist of the Year, Up and Coming Artist of the Year, Spirit of Unity Award, Community Service Award and the Life Time Achievement Award.
The "Best of the Blessed" from around the nation will compete for the $10,000 cash prize awarded to the 1st place Praise Team and the $2,000 cash prize awarded to the 1st place Solo/Duet winner. Cash prizes and awards will also be given to the top seven performers from each of these categories. The top-three performances from the "Best of the Blessed" Solo/Duet and Praise Team competition from the earlier preliminaries will be judged on their ability to minister through their God given gifts. The winners selected will perform as part of the finale of the Christian Music Awards.
