Dr. Alexander has more than 43 years of professional experience in spiritual guidance and 11 years of managing experience as the founder and chief executive officer for Octavia Records. Her daily responsibilities include managing operations, providing spiritual counseling, recording gospel music, singing in worship, teaching music and developing vocal techniques. Octavia Records is a non-profit organization that specializes in developing singing and recording skills. The company offers piano lessons, keyboard training, voice lessons and computer skills for financially-challenged individuals.
A Certified Ordained Minister, Dr. Alexander received obtained her Th.D. in Theology from Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological Institute in 1994. She is the recipient of the Sammy Davis, Jr. Award for Best Gospel Vocal and is a frequent contributor to the Star of Hope Organization. Dr. Alexander has received a Certificate of Recognition for Assisting the Underprivileged, and Recovering Chemical and Alcohol Abusers. She is recording her first album called In My Father's House, which is due for release this summer.
In her spare time, Ms. Alexander sings for her local church and community events including Black History month and Cinco de Mayo during Fiesta. She attributes her success to her hard work, dedication and her continued support of her friends and family.
