As the executive director and campus minister for The Downtowners, Inc. for 26 years, Dr. O'Shaughnessy excels in campus ministry and pastoral counseling.
Dr. O'Shaughnessy became involved in her profession after being recruited by the Downtowners Inc.'s board of trustees because of her background in ministry and administration. She attributes her success to the support of her family, her education, her faith in God, and being attentive to people. The most gratifying aspect of her career is being an instrument for students and members of the community to strengthen their lives in faith and service to those in need.
Dr. O'Shaughnessy received her doctor of ministry in pastoral counseling from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. She is a member of the Catholic Conference of Ohio, the Ohio Campus Ministries, the Downtown Clergy of Columbus, Ohio, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, the Academy of Women of Achievement of the YWCA, the Dominican Associates and she is the Chaplain of Church Women United.
